Called to worship, grow, serve, and witness
"To be a welcoming Catholic community on Pelee Island that celebrates the Eucharist, nurtures faith, serves others with compassion, and bears witness to the love of Christ in our unique island setting."
This mission guides everything we do as a parishβfrom our liturgical celebrations to our outreach efforts, from faith formation to fellowship. We strive to be the hands and feet of Christ on Pelee Island.
The Eucharist is the source and summit of our faith. Through the Mass, the sacraments, and personal prayer, we encounter Jesus Christ and are transformed by His love. We honor the liturgical traditions of the Catholic Church while creating meaningful worship experiences for our island community.
Growing in faith is a lifelong journey. We provide opportunities for parishioners of all ages to deepen their understanding of Catholic teaching, Scripture, and tradition. From children's religious education to adult faith formation, we help each person grow closer to God.
"Faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ." - Romans 10:17
We are the Body of Christ, united despite our differences. Our parish is a place where genuine relationships are formed, where we support one another in times of joy and sorrow, and where everyone belongs. Island life naturally fosters close-knit community, and we embrace that gift.
"Where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them." - Matthew 18:20
Following Christ's example, we are called to serve others, especially the poor, vulnerable, and marginalized. Through charitable works, community outreach, and acts of kindness, we put our faith into action and make a difference in our island community and beyond.
The seven sacraments are encounters with Christ that sustain us on our faith journey. We celebrate these sacred moments as a parish family.
